The Miami Dolphins expect quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to play again in 2024, but his exact timeline remains uncertain, head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday, including Pro Football Network’s Adam Beasley.
McDaniel said that Tagovailoa is still seeking information.
Tagovailoa has been sidelined since sustaining a concussion in Week 2, marking his fourth concussion since 2019. The 26-year-old remains on injured reserve and isn’t eligible to return until Week 8 at the earliest.
The Dolphins have struggled to a 1-2 record without Tagovailoa under center. Skylar Thompson has started one game and Tyler Huntley has started two.
