The NFL announced on Tuesday that Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons, will host Super Bowl LXII in 2028.
It will be the fourth time Atlanta will be the host city for the Super Bowl and first since 2019.
Atlanta previously hosted in 1994 (Super Bowl XXVIII – Cowboys over Bills), 2000 (Super Bowl XXVI – Rams over Titans), and 2019 (Super Bowl LIII – Patriots over Rams).
The Patriots-Rams Super Bowl was the first “Big Game” to take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opened in 2017. The 1994 and 2000 games took place at the Georgia Dome.
