Klay Thompson set a franchise record Thursday night by hitting six 3-pointers, the most made by a player in their debut with the Dallas Mavericks.
Thompson finished the game with 22 points, seven rebounds, and three steals as the Mavericks beat the San Antonio Spurs 120-109.
“Couldn’t have asked for a better start, I mean just sharing the court with Kai (Kyrie Irving), Luka (Doncic) and the rest of the guys is very special after a hard month of really good work, and to see it come to fruition is awesome,” Thompson told TNT postgame. “It’s just a small step for where we want to go, but it’s something we can build off.”
