Manchester City succumbed to their first loss of the Premier League campaign and ended a 32-game unbeaten run after falling 2-1 to Andoni Iraola’s energetic and positive Bournemouth on Saturday.
The hosts took a deserved lead when the impressive Antoine Semenyo turned and poked an effort past Ederson in the ninth minute. Bournemouth’s second goal started with goalkeeper Mark Travers and flowed down the left of their lineup until Milos Kerkez’s cross was turned in by Evanilson.
Manchester City’s first shot on target was in the 80th minute. Josko Gvardiol scored an 82nd-minute header but the Cherries held on for a famous victory against the reigning Premier League champions.
