Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Friday that quarterback Jalen Hurts is “dealing with the ankle,” according to ESPN’s Tim McManus.
Sirianni’s remarks contradict the team’s injury report from earlier in the week.
Hurts was listed as a limited participant and given a “rest” designation Wednesday after not partaking in the team’s practice session. Backups Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee went through the team drills. The two-time Pro Bowler was reportedly prohibited from dropping back and planting during individual drills Wednesday but was spotted throwing the ball during the team’s walkthrough later in the day.
