Former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum’s football media and technology company, The 33rd Team, will advise the New York Jets with data analysis and experience in its hunt for a new GM and coach, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Rick Spielman, former general manager of the Minnesota Vikings, joins Tannenbaum as co-leader of the project.
It’s not yet clear whether Tannenbaum and Spielman will participate in interviews, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, though they will check candidates’ references.
