The Cleveland Browns are expected to bench quarterback Jameis Winston and start Dorian Thompson-Robinson for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, sources told ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi.
The Browns are making the reported change under center after head coach Kevin Stefanski was reluctant to name a starter following Cleveland’s 21-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs this past weekend. Winston threw three interceptions before being replaced by Thompson-Robinson in the contest.
Thompson-Robinson will be the third quarterback to start a game for the Browns this campaign. Winston led the club to a 2-5 record as a starter after Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles injury.
