Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey broke the fibula in his left leg in a collision with Orlando guard Cole Anthony during Wednesday’s victory over the Magic.
“I promise to come back even better,” Ivey wrote Thursday in a post on X. “The recovery starts now.”
The 22-year-old immediately clutched his leg and screamed in pain before eventually being stretchered off the court. Ivey’s teammates and opponents were visibly shaken up after the injury.
