Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke with Colorado head coach Deion Sanders about the franchise’s open coaching job, sources told Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports.
A formal interview hasn’t been scheduled yet, but there’s mutual interest between the Cowboys and Sanders, who is considered a top candidate for the job, Schultz adds. Dallas reportedly also plans to interview other candidates.
Sanders spent five seasons of his playing career in Dallas from 1995-99. He was part of the Cowboys’ last Super Bowl victory, which came during the 1995 season, and totalled 14 interceptions and four Pro Bowls during his time with the franchise.
