The Los Angeles Rams are allowing quarterback Matthew Stafford’s agent to speak with other teams, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported during an appearance on the “Rich Eisen Show.”
Such discussions would allow the Rams to gauge Stafford’s trade market and the parameters for a new contract, according to Pelissero, who adds the priority seems to be for Stafford to return to the team.
Stafford reportedly intends to play for the Rams next season after admitting he was unsure about his NFL future following Los Angeles’ loss in the divisional round. However, the 37-year-old will likely need to restructure his current deal.
