Former Florida guard Denzel Aberdeen has committed to Kentucky via the NCAA Transfer Portal. He spent three seasons with the Gators.
Aberdeen made 39 appearances and five starts for the Gators this past season. He averaged 7.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 19.7 minutes per game. The 6-foot-5 guard shot 41.8% from the field and 35.0% from beyond the arc.
Aberdeen was pivotal to Florida’s national championship run. In the Gators’ 87-71 win over Maryland in the Sweet Sixteen, Aberdeen tallied 12 points on 5-7 shooting. In the National Championship game, Aberdeen recorded seven points and two rebounds in 18 minutes of action.
