The Boston Celtics traded point guard Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for shooting guard Anfernee Simons and two second-round picks, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The Trail Blazers acquired Holiday as part of the 2023 trade that sent Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, but flipped him to the Celtics before he appeared in a game for Portland.
Holiday averaged 11.1 points, 3.9 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 62 games in 2024-25. The 16-year veteran is a two-time NBA champion, playing key roles on the Bucks in 2021 and the Celtics in 2024.
