The Philadelphia Phillies are adding some big-time heat to their bullpen.
Philadelphia is finalizing a deal to acquire closer Jhoan Duran from the Minnesota Twins, sources told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Minnesota will receive right-hander Mick Abel and catcher Eduardo Tait in return for the hard-throwing right-hander, ESPN’s Buster Olney reports. MLB.com ranked Abel and Tait as the Phillies’ No. 4 and No. 6 prospects, respectively, with both on the league’s top-100 prospects list.
