The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has officially revealed its Class of 2025, a star-studded group of NBA greats, WNBA icons, coaching legends, and contributors who helped shape the game’s history.
NBA and Coaching Excellence
- Carmelo Anthony – A 10-time NBA All-Star, NCAA champion with Syracuse, and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Anthony’s scoring and longevity make him one of basketball’s most iconic forwards.
- Billy Donovan – Two-time NCAA national championship coach at Florida and longtime NBA head coach, Donovan is recognized for his ability to build winners at every level.
WNBA Legends Enter the Hall
Women’s basketball takes center stage with three inductees:
- Sue Bird – Four-time WNBA champion, five-time Olympic gold medalist, and one of the greatest point guards in history.
- Maya Moore – WNBA MVP, four-time champion, and two-time Olympic gold medalist whose dominance and advocacy left an enduring legacy.
- Sylvia Fowles – The WNBA’s all-time rebounding leader, four-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time champion, and four-time Olympic gold medalist.
Officiating and Contributions Recognized
- Danny Crawford – NBA referee for 32 seasons, with over 2,000 games and 23 consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
- Micky Arison – Owner of the Miami Heat, honored for building a championship-winning franchise and advancing the NBA’s global reach.
Redeem Team Immortalized
The legendary 2008 USA Men’s Olympic Team, known as the Redeem Team, also enters the Hall. Featuring Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony, the squad restored U.S. dominance with a gold medal in Beijing.
