The New York Jets announced that Justin Fields will start at quarterback on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals after Tyrod Taylor was ruled out due to a knee injury.
Head coach Aaron Glenn declined to announce a starter when asked during the week whether Fields or Taylor would get the nod this weekend. The veteran backup replaced Fields during last week’s loss to the Carolina Panthers after the first-year Jet completed just six passes for 46 yards in the opening half.
Taylor was able to get the offense moving in the second half, but struggled to put points on the board after tossing a pair of interceptions.
