Denver Broncos star cornerback Pat Surtain II is expected to miss four-to-six weeks due to a pectoral injury, sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year will seek a second opinion this week to confirm his injury timeline.
Surtain is expected to be a candidate for injured reserve, which would keep him out a minimum of four games. Denver is set to play the Houston Texans on Sunday, followed by matchups against the Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington Commanders.
The fifth-year pro appeared to sustain the injury while attempting to tackle Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens in the second quarter of Sunday’s game.
