The Buffalo Bills claimed veteran cornerback Darius Slay off waivers Wednesday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Slay began the season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the two sides mutually agreed to part ways Tuesday. The Steelers had made Slay inactive for Sunday’s loss to Buffalo despite the six-time Pro Bowler being healthy.
The 34-year-old signed with the Steelers during the offseason after posting a standout five-year run with the Philadelphia Eagles. Slay appeared in 74 regular-season games for the Eagles, registering nine interceptions while helping the club win the Super Bowl last season.
