The Green Bay Packers are expected to work with Matt LaFleur on a new deal to keep the head coach with the club, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Packers’ season ended Saturday after the Chicago Bears erased a 21-3 deficit and won with a touchdown in the dying minutes. Green Bay had just 19 yards of offense on its first four drives of the second half, allowing the Bears to get back into the game.
LaFleur, who has one year left on his current contract, has led the Packers since 2019, guiding them to six playoff appearances. However, Green Bay has been eliminated in the wild-card round in each of the past two seasons and hasn’t reached the NFC Championship Game since 2020.
