Another heart-stopping Sunday at Augusta National gave way to the same result as last year, with Rory McIlroy winning his second straight Masters in dramatic fashion.
McIlroy entered the final round as the co-leader, but fell behind by two shots early with some poor play on the opening nine. However, the 36-year-old poured in back-to-back birdies on 12 and 13 to flip the board and push ahead of Justin Rose, Scottie Scheffler, and the rest of the chasers.
The final result sees McIlroy claim the one-shot victory and join Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods as the only men to win the Masters in two straight years.
