The Philadelphia 76ers will not retain Elton Brand as their general manager under new president Mike Gansey, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Brand, however, will reportedly remain with the franchise in a new role.
Philadelphia is also promoting assistant general manager Jameer Nelson to executive vice president of basketball operations, reports Charania. Nelson will assume Brand’s former role as the franchise’s second-leading basketball executive.
