Kylian Mbappe scored twice as France kicked off its 2026 World Cup campaign with a 3-1 win over Senegal on Tuesday.
The superstar forward was a nonfactor in the opening half of the Group I encounter, recording only 14 touches in the first 45 minutes and giving the ball away seven times. However, Mbappe came to life after the interval and slid home the tally that broke the deadlock after a sumptuous pass from Michael Olise.
