The Chicago Fire are finalizing a deal for the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, and the two parties are expected to reach an agreement soon, sources told ESPN’s Lizzy Becharano.
Lewandowski, 37, is a free agent after his contract with Barcelona expired at the end of the 2025-26 season. He potted 120 goals in 193 appearances across all competitions over four seasons at Barcelona. Though he was no longer their full-time starter this season, Lewandowski still scored 14 goals in 31 La Liga matches to help Hansi Flick’s side finish well ahead of rivals Real Madrid for the league title.
