Free agent center Kristaps Porzingis has agreed to a two-year, $40 million contract to return to the Golden State Warriors through 2027-28, agent Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The deal includes a player option in the second season and likely prohibits Golden State from using the full non-taxpayer mid-level exception this summer, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
Porzingis appeared in 15 games for the Warriors after they acquired the center from Atlanta at the trade deadline, averaging 16.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per game.
