Defending champion Iga Swiatek became the latest star to fall on the women’s side, losing to Alexandra Eala in straight sets Saturday.
Swiatek’s forehand fell apart in the second set. She dropped the first four games of the set, and couldn’t recover despite trying to make a late push.
