Conor McGregor plans to fight again after suffering an injury in his comeback bout at UFC 329.
McGregor hurt his right knee in the opening moments of his welterweight bout against Max Holloway and conceded a TKO loss at the 69-second mark of the first round Saturday in Las Vegas.
The former two-division champion said early Sunday morning on X that he will be back in the Octagon when he is healthy again.
“I will overcome this,” McGregor wrote. “I will not be deterred. I will return.”
McGregor ended a five-year layoff against Holloway, the longest of his career. The 37-year-old Irishman hadn’t fought since breaking his left leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
