The Golden State Warriors re-signed forward Draymond Green to a one-year, $27.7-million contract, his agent told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Green previously declined his 2026-27 player option for the same salary in order to give the Warriors more financial flexibility for a potential LeBron James signing.
The four-time All-Star didn’t receive a no-trade clause despite being eligible for one, a source told Anthony Slater of ESPN.
Green has spent his entire career in the Bay Area after being selected 35th overall in the 2012 draft. The Michigan State product developed into one of the league’s premier defenders at the peak of his career, winning Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017 and earning nine NBA All-Defensive team selections.
Green averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists across 68 appearances last season. His 27.9% assist percentage ranked in the 98th percentile among big men, per Cleaning the Glass.
