Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk has been cleared to return to the team after the resolution of his doping ban “with immediate effect,” the English FA announced Friday.
The Ukraine winger, 25, was suspended four years in November 2024 for failing a drug test for the prohibited substance meldonium.
Mudryk appealed the decision, and the World Anti-Doping Agency has since changed its operations and Sky Sports says Mudryk would not have been charged had he failed the same test today.
Chelsea says they’ve “supported Misha” throughout the process and that “our focus now is on supporting Misha’s reintegration into the squad and helping him resume his career.”
Mudryk last played for Chelsea in the 2024-25 Conference League, scoring in a 2-0 win over Heidenheim.
