The Chicago Bears agreed to sign right tackle Darnell Wright to a four-year, $116-million extension that contains $93 million guaranteed, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport report.
Wright will receive the most guaranteed money for an offensive lineman in NFL history, Fowler adds. He beats out Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater, who had $92 million guaranteed in his deal, per Over the Cap.
Wright’s extension also makes him the highest-paid right tackle ever, according to Fowler.
