The Los Angeles Rams hosted retired defensive tackle Aaron Donald for a formal tryout Wednesday, according to the league’s daily transaction wire.
Donald wore a helmet to see how his body would feel and respond to wearing equipment again, a source told Pro Football Talk’s Myles Simmons.
The Rams have been clear that they would welcome Donald back if he were to come out of retirement. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Friday that a decision won’t come until the team returns to its facility in Woodland Hills, California, following the conclusion of training camp.
