New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh didn’t sound amused after Jaxson Dart’s emotions got the better of the quarterback during Tuesday’s practice.
Dart threw the football at cornerback Greg Newsome II’s helmet after scoring a rushing touchdown, according to SNY. Harbaugh elected to push back the following extra-point attempt to mimic a taunting penalty.
“I think he understands that for the game-winning extra point, we don’t want it to be a 50-yard extra point,” Harbaugh responded when asked if he had said anything to Dart.
Harbaugh added: “Do you think I need to say anything in that case? Pretty clear-cut, right?”
Tight end Isaiah Likely stepped in to separate Newsome and Dart after the incident and said it was just a case of two players competing.
