The New York Yankees have addressed their need at catcher a few days after Monday’s Trade Deadline.
New York has signed veteran catcher Mitch Garver to a Minor League deal, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand on Friday. The club has not confirmed the move.
The right-handed hitting Garver, playing in his 10th Major League season, recorded a .175/.302/.294 slash line with four home runs in 50 games with Seattle before the club released him on Tuesday.
