The New England Patriots trade offensive tackle Caedan Wallace to the Miami Dolphins. New England was planning to release Wallace before the deal, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
In addition to Wallace, the Dolphins received New England’s 2029 seventh-round pick. The Patriots received Miami’s 2028 sixth-round pick.
The Pats drafted Wallace in the third round in 2024 out of Penn State. He started two games and appeared in six during his rookie season, though injuries prevented him from playing a full season.
Wallace moved from tackle to guard ahead of the 2025 season, but played in just four games last year, recording just eight snaps. He was set to begin the 2026 season as a third-string guard on the interior offensive line.
