Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love will be sidelined for at least one week due to an ankle injury sustained in Thursday’s preseason opener.
“He was in great spirits, even Friday,” LaFleur said Saturday, according to team reporter Zach Gershman. “But we’ll keep him out this week as we let it heal. So, a little bit more sore than we were anticipating.”
LaFleur said that the team will re-evaluate Love’s status going into next week but wouldn’t say if the injury will impact his availability for the start of the regular season. The Cardinals will play the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium to kick off their 2026 campaign.
