Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano strengthened his case to become the Baltimore Ravens’ third quarterback in their preseason win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He completed 22 of 28 passes for 224 yards, a touchdown, and one interception, displaying the accuracy, reliability, and command Baltimore wants from a reserve.
Although his red-zone interception was a notable mistake, his extended playing time and otherwise efficient performance suggest he is pulling ahead in the competition. With Lamar Jackson firmly starting and Tyler Huntley established as the backup, Fagnano may be close to securing the final quarterback spot.
