The Cleveland Cavaliers are acquiring restricted free agent Peyton Watson from the Denver Nuggets as part of a multi-team sign-and-trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The Clippers will reportedly receive veteran sharpshooter Max Strus, while the Nuggets will get the Cavs’ unprotected 2031 first-round pick as well as the Sacramento Kings’ 2032 second-rounder.
Cleveland is signing Watson to a four-year, $88-million contract, which includes a player option and a trade kicker.
