The Minnesota Timberwolves are trading Josh Green and cash to the Utah Jazz for Cody Williams and John Konchar, sources told ESPN on Friday night.
The Timberwolves are expected to keep Williams, the No. 10 pick in 2024, and waive-and-stretch Konchar, sources said. Saturday is the final day to waive a player and stretch out his guaranteed salary over multiple seasons.
Minnesota can sign a 15th player on the roster now and will have more apron flexibility during the season by waiving and stretching Konchar’s salary for $2.05 million across three straight years.
