San Francisco 49ers wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling will miss at least one month with a deltoid sprain in his ankle, sources told ESPN’s Ian Rapoport.
Stribling is still seeking opinions on the injury and doesn’t plan to undergo surgery, though it is a possibility, Rapoport reports.
The rookie was carted off in the second quarter of the 49ers’ season-opening win over the Los Angeles Rams.
San Francisco selected Stribling 33rd overall in this year’s draft. The 23-year-old caught 55 passes for 811 receiving yards during his final collegiate season at Ole Miss.
