The Milwaukee Brewers clinched its fourth straight National League Central title Tuesday thanks to a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs’ 6-3 loss to the Atlanta Braves. The Brewers are the first team to win the NL Central in four consecutive seasons since the division was created in 1994.
The Brewers took care of their business in Pittsburgh. Jacob Misiorowski struck out seven over five shutout innings before yielding to the bullpen, while Luis Lara and Joey Ortiz each had two RBIs. However, the team had to go back to the clubhouse postgame and spend an agonizing hour rooting for the Braves.
