Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will be on this week’s injury report, but he doesn’t expect to be at risk of missing Sunday’s game against the Texans.
Reporters at the open portion of the team’s practice on Wednesday noted that Burrow was not doing much work and Burrow said at a post-practice press conference that he is dealing with back tightness. Burrow said he didn’t know if there was a specific play from last Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers that led to the issue because he did not start feeling anything until after the game.
Burrow said he is unsure if he’ll be able to practice for the rest of the week, but called it “ridiculous” to think he’d need to miss Sunday’s game in order to avoid making the problem any worse. Burrow also expressed confidence that he can get enough “mental reps” to be ready for Houston even if he doesn’t fully participate in practice.
