Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson said Monday on ESPN 100 that Caleb Williams is expected to be week-to-week with a hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday’s 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Tom Pelissero of The Ringer reported earlier Monday that Williams avoided a major hamstring injury. The Bears reportedly aren’t ruling Williams out for their Week 3 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
However, Johnson noted that Williams will “likely” miss some time, per Schefter.
Williams pulled up while scrambling on a first-down play in the fourth quarter. He was visibly in pain and had to be carted to the locker room.
