The Washington Commanders aren’t planning to place quarterback Jayden Daniels on injured reserve after he dislocated his left elbow, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.
An IR stint would sideline Daniels for at least four games. The signal-caller is reportedly considered week-to-week, with Washington hoping he can return as soon as possible.
Commanders general manager Adam Peters told Junks Radio earlier Friday that surgery wasn’t currently on the table for Daniels, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic.
Daniels met with multiple specialists this week in New York and Los Angeles, leading to the decision to forgo surgery, according to Albert Breer of the MMQB. The Commanders quarterback will reportedly wear a brace over his injured elbow.
