Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry agreed to a two-year, $116-million contract extension with a player option in 2028-29, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The deal keeps Curry from entering the upcoming season as a pending free agent and ends speculation that the Warriors might entertain trade offers for him.
Curry took $20 million less than the maximum on his extension to give the Warriors more cap space next summer, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
