The three players Colorado coach Deion Sanders removed from the Buffaloes roster were cornerbacks Jah Jah Boyd, Justin Eaglin and Paul Omodia, a Colorado spokesperson said Saturday ahead of Colorado’s date with No. 12-ranked Texas Tech, two weeks after Sanders said he expelled players from the team.
Sanders initially mentioned that he dismissed players from the team four days after Colorado’s 41-7 loss at Northwestern, but it was not made clear to the public who the players were until Saturday.
According to a source familiar with the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, the players will likely not have a chance to earn their way back onto the roster.
“It’s a done deal,” the source said.
