Chicago Bears defensive end Montez Sweat has been suspended two games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy, the league announced Tuesday, according to the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs.
Sweat will miss Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons and the Bears’ Week 7 contest versus the New England Patriots.
Sweat, who’s collected two sacks this season, will be eligible for reinstatement Oct. 23, according to The Athletic’s Dan Wiederer. He’s also tallied seven tackles, four QB hits, and two tackles for loss this year – his fourth campaign with the Bears.
