Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams says his status for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons hasn’t been determined despite him practicing in full for two consecutive days, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.
Williams has reportedly made significant strides in his recovery from a hamstring injury that he sustained in a Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings. While his increased practice participation gives reason for optimism, the star quarterback cautioned that he still has to clear additional checkpoints before returning to game action.
“Do not know if I’m playing yet,” Williams said Thursday. “Have to go through a bunch of medical protocols. Obviously have to get out there and practice, do the stress testing that you do when you’re trying to come back from injury or serious injury.”
