Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Jake Bauers was named the 2026 National League Championship Series MVP after the Brewers swept the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday.
In Game 3, Bauers hit the go-ahead two-run home run to culminate a remarkable 11-pitch at-bat against Blake Snell in the top of the seventh. He added three RBIs in Game 4 and was also responsible for an epic 12-pitch at-bat against Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2.
The 31-year-old had at least one hit in each game of Milwaukee’s sweep of the two-time defending champion Dodgers. Bauers finished the NLCS with six RBIs, tying the Brewers’ franchise record in a series.
