The Atlanta Falcons are signing veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
In a corresponding move, the Falcons released Cooper Rush, reports Schefter.
Dalton became a free agent after the Philadelphia Eagles released him earlier in October, but there was speculation he might rejoin the club via the practice squad. The Falcons will be the 38-year-old’s seventh NFL team and third in the past two seasons.
