San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans didn’t finish Monday’s 23-17 victory against the Washington Commanders after aggravating his Achilles in the first half.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after the game that Evans is dealing with Achilles tendinitis but that the injury isn’t expected to hamper him long term, according to Harrison Rich of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Evans entered the contest with injured ribs and Achilles soreness. The veteran wideout went down on a 16-yard reception with just over a minute left in the second quarter before limping to the locker room with trainers. He sat out the remainder of the game.
