NBA commissioner Adam Silver says there’s no issue with LeBron James’ sponsored helicopter used to commute from New York to Philadelphia.
“In the case of LeBron and that helicopter, he has a deal with Fanatics,” Silver said during an appearance Tuesday on “The Pat McAfee Show,” according to The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov.
“Top players in the league have huge endorsement deals. That’s their right. As long as those are independently negotiated, they’re perfectly appropriate,” Silver said.
Silver added that the sponsorship is not a violation of league rules since no team is involved in the agreement.
