The Chicago Bears have multiple tributes planned for late Hall of Famer Mike Ditka during Thursday’s home game against the New England Patriots, including handing out fake mustaches that resemble Ditka’s signature look.
The Bears announced that those attending Thursday night’s game at Soldier Field will receive a Ditka mustache, according to James Neveau of NBC 5 Chicago. The first 10,000 fans to enter the stadium will also receive a Bears knit headband inspired by Ditka’s iconic sweater vest.
The game will also feature a moment of silence for Ditka, who died Oct. 9 at the age of 86. The Bears will wave Ditka-inspired flags before the start of the contest as well.
